Synopsis
While having her head scanned in an MRI scanner, the nurse asks Rosa to concentrate on happy memories. She closes her eyes. The machine makes a deafening noise
Rosa looks at a map while waiting for her mother in her ex-husband’s old hot-dog van. It has been thirty years since they last saw each other, on the day Dalva was arrested. A gunshot rings out. Dalva can be seen running towards the van, she had just held up a gas station. Rosa steps on the gas and mother and daughter flee, headed for the happy memories they never had together.
The project has been involved in several prestigious events and recognized by industry peers. It was selected for participation in two screenwriting labs, CENA 15 | Porto Iracema das Artes and BrLab 2020, as well as one editing lab, First Cut Lab Brazil 2022. Additionally, it was a finalist for the Cabíria Award - Women and Audiovisual 2020. The film has also been screened at various venues, including the 2022 Ventana Sur, where it was honored with the WIP Latam Paradiso Award.
